Generation 1 wheel bearing tool, front and rear
SKU: 20-00011
$1 699
Pressed-in bearings, or split hubs and bearings as they are also called, were introduced in 1965. They were constructed as single-row bearings mounted in pairs. This type has been used in cars since the 70s and is still common in modern vehicles. The design has been updated over the years and is most commonly double-row angular contact ball bearings. For easy installation, the wheel bearing is sealed and maintenance-free with preset bearing clearance. The generation 1 bearing can be used on both front and rear axles. The bearing is installed separately into the spindle, and then the hub is mounted.
